3. LEUCOREA
The address of the workshop location (accomodation and lecture hall) is
Leucorea
Collegienstrasse 62
06886 Lutherstadt Wittenberg
Tel.: +49 (0) 3491 4660
Fax: +49 (0) 3491 466-222
We, Arkady Pikovsky and Evelyn Buckwar, will receive the participants
at the Leucorea (with signs directing you to the conference office)
on sunday from around 1 pm.
As you will arrive at different times, we have not arranged a joint
dinner at the canteen (where the other meals will take place). However,
there are several restaurants
in the vicinity of the Leucorea.
It is a ten minute walk from the train station
to the Leucorea (see also the link to Leucorea on the home page of the
workshop, there is a map on their website). When you
leave the train station via a tunnel, you will
first see a small building with a red roof and a EC-cash point sign on
top of it. Behind that are more rail tracks. Turn to the left
and follow the footpath along the tracks. There
are two bridges coming up, the first goes over the tracks and the road
(actually it ends in midair on both sides), the
second takes the tracks over a road. At that
point turn right. You will see a traffic junction ahead, go straight over
that one. Shortly after that, the road bifurcates, take the
left road, this is the Collegienstrasse. Number
62 is a white building on the left. The sign announcing "Leucora"
is not very big or impressive. However, directly after that
there is a large, red "A"-sign for "Apotheke"
(pharmacy), the Löwen-Apotheke. If you found that, go back five
paces ;-) .
