    Research Areas

I am interested in developing mathematical models and their analysis. In particular I am interested in partial differential equations and their homogenisation as well as in multiscale systems.

At the moment I'm working on the analysis of precipitation in GaAs crystalline solids, thereby I consider a nonlinear diffusion equation with many free boundaries, which is coupled to a mechanical problem. Different scales of the problem lead to a homogenised problem, which is a large system of ordinary differential equations. This provides a generalization of the classical Mullins Sekerka model and of its reduction to the Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner model in the limit of small scaling parameters.
