Runder Tisch im CCSA

3. Februar 2010

Beim Treffen am 3. Februar 2010 besprachen die anwesenden Experten aus den Fachbereichen Quantenchemie und Angewandte Mathematik ihre Arbeitsgebiete im Kontext der DFT (DFT = Dichtefunktionaltheorie, Density Function Theory).

Berlin PUM Workshop 2012

22. Aug. 2012

The intrinsic concept of the Partition of Unity Method (PUM) as devised by Babuška and Melenk may be found in many approaches such as Generalized Finite Element Methods (GFEM), eXtended Finite Element Methods (XFEM) and Meshless Methods (MM). Given this common concept, the aim of the Berlin PUM Workshop 2012 is to provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to discuss recent research results that may support a wide applicability in PUM related approaches. To build a foundation for these discussions, a number of experts has been invited to talk about their research. The covered topics will range from theoretical analysis of PUM based methods to applications and aspects of implementation. Anybody interested to participate is cordially invited to join the discussions and to give a presentation on his/her own research.

Twelfth European Workshop on Automatic Differentiation with Emphasis on Applications to DAEs

08. Dec. 2011

Beginn: 8:00 This is the 12th in a series of European Workshops providing a forum for the presentation of developments, both theoretical and software implementations, and applications of, Automatic Differentiation (AD) and adjoint methods. We also encourage presentations in related, symbiotic areas including: source code augmentation; ODE/PDE control and data assimilation; design optimisation; interval analysis. This workshop is informal, with no published proceedings, so allowing for the discussion of work in progress and presentations by those new to the subject.

Startup-Workshop

13. und 14. November 2009
