In Differential geometry, we study the geometric properties of curved spaces. In addition to researching possible classifications of certain geometric structures, we investigate the links between geometry, topology and the solutions of partial differential equations on curved spaces. Differential geometry is closely related to physics, the general theory of relativity and modern gauge theories, in particular use mathematical concepts from differential geometry.
Our group focusses on the study of Dirac operators on Riemannian und Lorentzian manifolds and of geometric problems in Spin and Lorentzian geometry as well as from conformal and CR geometry. For more details, see the research section.
